There’s no better way to start off the holiday season than with some spook-tacular fun. Halloween may be only one night out of the year, but Benicia and Vallejo will be hosting plenty of festivities to get you in the spooky spirit for October 31st. From hay mazes and costume contests, to a Bewitching Tea and Black Panther inspired pumpkin party, there’s sure to be something for everyone this Halloween!


What: Jack-O’-Lantern Contest

Where: Benicia Public Library, 150 East L Street


For a spooky night out for the whole family, check out the Benicia Public Library’s Jack-O’-Lantern Contest, followed by some scary stories.


What: Panther Pumpkin Party


When: October 26th, 5-7PM


Where: Little Imaginarium, 428 Georgia St, Vallejo


Join the Little Imaginarium for a Black Panther inspired pumpkin party. There will be pumpkin lantern decorating, superhero training, and the chance to take a picture with the one and only Black Panther. Costumes are encouraged! What: Trick or Treat in Downtown Vallejo


When: October 27th, 10 AM-2 PM


Where: 320 Georgia St, Vallejo


Who says trick or treating should only happen one night out of the year? Get a head start on some Halloween fun in downtown Vallejo, where participating businesses will be handing out goodies to trick or treaters (costumes encouraged). What: Halloween Costume Contest & Sidewalk Stroll


When: October 27th, 10 AM


Where: City Park, First Street at Military West, Benicia


Benicia First Street will be hosting its popular Halloween Costume Contest and Sidewalk Stroll. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in the contest, which will be followed by trick or treating at local downtown businesses, prizes, and even a Canine and Critter Costume Contest!


What: Bewitching Tea


When: October 28th, 11 AM- 5 PM


Where: Camellia Tea Room, 828 First Street


Haunted hat contests, a Christina S. fashion show, and tea service await at this popular annual tea. The Bewitching Tea is a fundraiser for Safequest of Solano County, which serves victims of domestic violence. Tickets are $45.

Kick off a night of trick or treating with free admission to Children Wonderland’s Nightmare on Glenn Street, featuring a costume contest, hay maze, haunted hallway, bounce house, and more!
